Original pattern: There are two versions of this scarf pattern.
The first, with a floral centre-piece, is in the collection of the Saaremaa Museum SM_10379:31 T. The original belonged to the Elias Shönberg family, who moved from Ruhnu to Gotland in 1944. The original item dates from before 1940.
The second, with ovals with rays, is in the collection of the Estonian National Museum ERM A 992:17, donated to the museum by Eva Steffensson, who fled from Ruhnu to Sweden in 1944 at the age of 19.
Care instructions: Hand wash or delicate wash max 40°C, spin at low speed (400 rpm). Use phosphate-free detergents. Do not bleach. Avoid spot-cleaning and rubbing wet prints, as it may cause damage. Dry the fabrics in an airy room or outside, avoid tumble drying. Iron on cotton temperature (200°C), fabrics with fully printed colours from the wrong side.
